Born in Beaumont, Ross was a lifetime resident of Silsbee. He graduated from Silsbee High School and was a senior at Texas A&M University, College Station, set to graduate in May with a degree in computer engineering with a minor in cyber security. Ross was a member of Westgate Church of Christ in Beaumont.
An accident early Wednesday February 15th 2017 in Bryan claimed the life of Texas A&M student Ross Travis Lightfoot, 23, of Silsbee. Ross was 2 1/2 months from graduating Texas A&M University.
Ross was a special person who was the life of the party. He was always dancing, always reading, climbing mountains, playing baseball. He was happiest when snowboarding and went as often as he could and stayed as long as he could, even if he was sleeping on the floor eating ramen!
Ross was a giver. He would want his family to remember the good times.
The Ross Lightfoot Memorial Foundation honors his memory by spreading the joy he embodied and giving back to the world he loved. Its mission is to continue to assist others as Ross would have.
